Indonesian artist Riz Riz Rizz’s newest series delves into a world of passion and delight, inspired by St Barth itself.

In his debut exhibition in St Barth “Romance on the Island”, Riz Riz Rizz playfully takes us through his deeply imaginative world. His collection of pieces explore the wild quality of nature through muse-like figures: women riding crocodiles, singing tigers, zebras carefully balancing fruit bowls, and mermaids suspended in midair.
Strength, vulnerability, and heroism are captured through symbolism all across the same frame. His compositions are playful, raw, and emotionally resonant—these complex emotions play out in poetic, whimsical scenes on the canvas. The human spirit merges with an animalistic and untamed nature, all painted through textured brushstrokes in colors that reveal a distinct melancholic beauty. A self-professed lover of the madness of creation, Rizz has infused this collection with a personal fervor. His pieces speak universally while being deeply tied to his background, drawing influence from his heritage.
