Photographer Nathan Coe is known for his lush, evocative, cinematic beach landscapes, from Nantucket to Palm Beach to St Barth. In recent years Coe has introduced the unexpected in the form of subtle human intervention. His inclusion of the nude female figure - often shown with her back to the camera as though she is blissfully unaware of the artist's presence - represents the innate human connection to nature in its purest form.

Celebrating the beautiful unpredictability of both the natural landscape and of the human body, each of Coe's works capture a visceral, organic moment in time. His large format photographs transform spaces, bringing elegance and timeless beauty.
The talented photographer first started to make a name for himself following a major exhibition of his Double Exposure Series in New York City in 2014.

This propelled Coe into the world of fine art photography and cemented his status as one of the leading artists in his field. Coe's appreciation for the technical side of photography began from a young age, leading him to pursue a degree in Photography & Media in Gloucestershire, England. From there he soon moved to Nantucket where he became the Creative Director & Editor for N Magazine and fell in love with photographing the the way the light illuminated the serene waves, regal lighthouses, and awe-inspiring dunes around the island. From there he then captured the timeless elegance and beauty of Palm Beach and life there. His pieces are playful and make you smile and the titles capture that too - for example "The Landscaper" elegantly mows the lawn, while she herself is "in the buff"!

St Barth is the protagonist of Coe's latest collection. Islands are magical places that not surprisingly have long captivated Nathan's creativity and St Barth is iconic, beautiful and inspiring all at the same time. So, how to capture that essence through a camera? Coe trusted his process and trusted the island and the mystery and serendipity of St Barth played into his hand, giving him permission to capture her grace and he responded with his practiced sleight of lens. The result is a new collection of images just launched by Space Gallery.

With this new series, Coe hopes to have captured the island's timeless wonder. The images communicate his classical style of weaving in the enduring beauty of the female form into various mise en scène. With a stunning attention to light and shadows, angles and lines, and compositional perspective, these works leave the viewer wanting more.
The exhibition can be viewed onlie and the artist's portfolio and work can be viewed at the gallery through the season. Discover this beautiful latest collection and bathe in the light form Nathan's lens!
