Space Gallery is delighted to announce its art partnership with the exclusive Eden Rock St Barth. A selection of artwork and art curation throughout this stunning luxury property is now in place and on view.

The partnership is an evolving, living collection - curated by Natalie Clifford for Space Gallery and Jane Matthews and Pierre-Marie Pointeau for Eden Rock St Barths.

Art can be found pretty much everywhere at Eden Rock - St Barths where there now exist a hundred white walls, all considered gallery spaces for hundreds of pictures.

Books too abound, over a thousand of them, all new and well-bound, mostly literary classics ie. readable and memorable. Library spaces and shelving have been built in every room, suite or house. At E. Rock, all of the pictures and all of the books are for sale, and to find out how the acquiring process works, kindly call ER Guest Care, Pauline or Jeanne, who, and with delight, will make whatever pricing and collection or delivery arrangement is preferred. Thank you. Eden Rock Art almost always is original work, plus some photographs: plus, and just occasionally, a numbered print or two. Inspiration arrives via Gagosian and Perrotin and work from the Artists of St Barths. This last worthy grouping is a commendable collective of St Barths' island-based painters and sculptors. Overall, we guess that we gather most of our pictures from the new fresh and young artists attending, or who have attended, the graduate school within the New York Academy of Art.

Subjects are forever changing and surprising, and the work often is terrifically good value. Guests may discover the fauna and flora of St Barthélemy through the paintings of Charles Moreau. Elizabeth Sutton's colourful and vibrant pieces will be found within the Eden Being Boutique alongside exclusive clutch bags, say. Shoals of silver fish are part of the work of Rémy Georges de Haenen who, by the most favourable of lucky circumstances, is the son of the fascinating Rémy de Haenen, first owner and patron of Eden Rock who built this place during the 1950s and became an early Mayor of the island and steered its evolution. Duringthis time, and amongst much else, Monsieur de Haenen visited Presidenr Charles de Gaulle bin Paris for the purpose of seeking the independence of this island of St Barths. He was not successful. However and subsequently, an early protégé and now President of St Barths, Bruno Magras managed to achieve this very thing, so making St Barths unique in the world.
