Geometric abstract painting by Giorgio Pasqualetti
From 21 to 26 November at the Яlab in Milan, works by Paolo Mei, Giorgio Pasqualetti, Viola Simoncioni, Sara Vola and Severina Zumbo will be on display.
From 21 to 26 November, the Яlab in via Senato 18 in Milan comes alive with STORIES, a moment of interaction and exchange between designers and artists linked by a friendship, who have chosen to exhibit their creations together. The STORIES exhibition presents the works of Paolo Mei, Giorgio Pasqualetti, Viola Simoncioni, Sara Vola and Severina Zumbo in a subtle dialogue with the furnishings of the Яevolution brand by Roberto Bellantoni.
The project stems from an idea by Roberto Bellantoni who, for the occasion, opens the doors of his Яlab, the large period space that the architect uses as a place to design and display his furnishings, but also as a location for cultural meetings, art and design exhibitions. Just as around a round table everyone's speeches and experiences overlap, the different creative codes mix in the common expressive force, transforming themselves into objects, furniture, photos and paintings.
If Roberto Bellantoni decodes the stories of his travels in the East and South Africa in the ЯO and ЯA collections, inextricably linking form and memory, Sara Vola expresses herself in the FLY coffee tables inspired by small creatures of nature through the decisive formal control of clean lines and precious onyx.
With a personal aesthetic reading Paolo Mei transfers in eight shots what of his exploration of Cappadocia cannot be expressed in words and mixes his own creative style with the design paths of Viola Simoncioni, who manages to synthesize the Milanese DNA in the mobile bar, revealing a personal tribute to the masters of mid-century Italian design.
Finally, Giorgio Pasqualetti, inspired by his adopted city, Barcelona, bends color to the purest geometric formalism and interweaves his language with that of Severina Zumbo, who presents the SEGUIMI series of marble candelabra inspired by the oriental fan, small sculptures that fix the entire creation process in a sign.
The event is from 21 to 26 November at ЯLab in via Senato 18, Milan.
