Purchase a ticket or a table at The Ocean Club in Gustavia on January 3, 2024 for The Green Hearts Gala, a benefit gala and auction co-hosted by Laurie Lynn and Kristian Stark, in association with Art Saint Barth and Utöpia, and in partnership with Space Gallery and de PURY auction house to raise funds for a double cause: “Green” for the island’s environment, and “Heart” for good cardiology care for the residents of Saint Barthélemy. The culinary experience is by chef Jarad McCarroll.
In partnership with the Territorial Environmental Agency of Saint Barthélemy and Le Cœur de St Barth (The Heart of St Barth), The Green Hearts Gala supports those who are active in the protection of the island’s natural sites, as well as the need “to provide early diagnosis and offer the best possible cardiac care treatments,” as indicated by publisher and founder of Art Saint Barth, Philippe Combres, who has organized the gala. “This year I had a heart attack and was transferred to the hospital in Guadeloupe. I realized that our beautiful island and its residents did not have a cardiology service. So, with cardiologist Yves Journo and the nonprofit association Le Cœur de St Barth, we are going to create a cardiology service connected to St Barth...this will help with cardiac prevention and diagnostics.”
A group of 30 artists are participating in this effort to transmit a message of hope, and to raise funds for these remarkable initiatives, presenting a varied collection, from NFT (Non-Fungible Tokens) to original works of art, by way of special flags created especially for the occasion. The auction features donated works and rare items by Daniel Arsham, Gilles Bensimon, Tui Nantaya Bhirombhakdi, The Haas Brothers, Tony Caramanico, Philip Colbert, Marco Glaviano, Rémy de Haenen, Rachel Hayes, Krista Kim, Jessica Lichtenstein, Victor Matthews, Robert Montgomery, Roger Moreau, Brian Bowen Smith, Laurie Lynn Stark, José Parlá, Enoc Perez, Hannah Polskin, Alexandra Llewellyn... The auction’s proceeds will support two associations: Le Cœur de St Barth, which funds the medical needs of the cardiology care in Saint Barth, and The Territorial Environment Agency, and its local associations, in their joint mission of environmental protection on the island of St Barth.
